FAQ
Frequently Asked
What is the shelf life of Cibus AgroTech products?
Due to the removal of nearly all moisture, our products typically have a shelf life of 12 to 24 months when stored in a cool, dry place. Because the water activity is so low, microbial growth is inhibited without the need for artificial preservatives.
Do freeze-dried foods lose their nutritional value?
No. Unlike canning or sun-drying, freeze-drying happens at extremely low temperatures. This preserves 97% of the original nutritional value, including heat-sensitive vitamins like Vitamin C and various phytonutrients.
How do I prepare freeze-dried RTE meals?
Our “Chef-Agnostic” meals are designed for simplicity. Simply add hot water, wait 3–5 minutes, and the food will return to its original texture, aroma, and taste.
Is your process environmentally friendly?
Yes. We operate under a Zero-Wastage Policy. Any agricultural by-products (peels or trimmings) are processed through our on-site pelleting machines to create high-grade cattle feed and organic fertilizers.
Why is freeze-drying better than "Dehydrated" or "Sun-Dried" food?
Traditional dehydration uses heat, which shrivels the food, hardens the texture, and destroys nutrients. Freeze-drying preserves the original shape and “open” cellular structure of the food, allowing it to rehydrate instantly and taste exactly like fresh produce.
Can Cibus AgroTech handle custom B2B requirements?
Absolutely. Our facility is SKU Agnostic and research-oriented. We can work with B2B partners to develop custom formulations for specific South Indian delicacies, cosmetic botanicals, or nutraceutical powders.
